Commemorating the 60th anniversary of Magnum Photos and the establishment of the Magnum Foundation, Magnum Festival '07 will explore documentary in its various forms – photography, film and journalism.

We are pleased to partner with such notable NY institutions as the New York Public Library, International Center of Photography, the Museum of Modern Art, the Film Forum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center (Walter Reade Theater).

Our June calendar boasts over 30 photographic exhibitions and special events, and over 40 documentary film screenings.

Together with writers, filmmakers and photographers from across the world, we invite you to join Magnum Festival '07 in embracing the past and promoting the future of independent vision and documentary work.

Through his explorations of language Sam Winston creates sculpture, drawings and books that question our understanding of words, both as a carriers of messages and as information itself.

He started writing stories and selling artist books through LondonĪ²��s Institute of Contemporary Arts and can now be found in many special collections in the UK and the US, including – MoMA New York, Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles, the Tate Galleries London, and Victoria & Albert Museum.

He has exhibited internationally and worked on various commissions including COMME des GARCONS Guerrilla Store (Hong Kong) and The New York Times. His work is currently on show in the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.

Chris Ro is a graphic designer. He recently concluded his MFA studies in the graduate graphic design program at the Rhode Island School of Design. Prior to his graduate studies, Chris held posts at several international design studios: ATTIK in San Francisco, New York and Leeds, Fork Unstable Media in Hamburg and Berlin and Fluid in San Francisco. Chris holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from UC Berkeley.

ADearFriend™ is the studio and portfolio of Chris Ro. Currently located in Providence, RI but on their way to New York, NY, both ADearFriend™ and Chris are accepting inquiries and opportunities for future work and collaborations. We do all this for grandmother.
